Middle Years Programme (IB MYP)

BGS International Academia School is proud to be an International Baccalaureate® Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) candidate school, committed to delivering a globally recognized education that nurtures inquiry, excellence, and holistic development.

As an MYP candidate school, BGS International Academia School is actively working towards authorization to offer the IB Middle Years Programme for students aged 11 to 16. Our teaching and learning practices are aligned with the IB philosophy, focusing on developing internationally minded learners who are confident, compassionate, and reflective.

The MYP framework at our school emphasizes:

  • Concept-based and inquiry-driven learning
  • Interdisciplinary understanding across subject areas
  • Real-world application through global contexts
  • Development of Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, including communication, collaboration, research, self-management, and critical thinking

Students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning while developing strong academic foundations alongside ethical values and social responsibility. Service learning, reflection, and community engagement form an integral part of the MYP journey at BGS International Academia School.

Guided by our vision of blending international education with strong human values, we aim to prepare students to become responsible global citizens and lifelong learners.

“BGS International Academia School is a candidate school* for the IB Middle Years Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy— a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education that BGSIAS believes is important for our students.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP).  Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
